AbstractIntroduction: Osteoarthitisgenu is a joint disorder of the genu section due to gradual decrease in cartilage bone cohesiveness. A metabolic syndrome group both lipid and non-lipid abnormalities an individual. This study aims determine relationship between incidence osteoarthritis type 2 DM patients at RSI Jemursari Surabaya.Methods: uses analytic observational method with cross-sectional design. The population samples were obtained according inclusion exclusion criteria. sample size 98 simple random sampling technique.Result: In this study, frequency (31.6%), age 55-65 years (38.7%), male gender (51.6%), components include hypertension, diabetes, hypertriglyceridemia (83.9%). On Genu Osteoarthritis (28.6%) 46-55 (43%), female (61%). location distribution mostly bilateral (60.7%).
